While the topic of shields is so hot, thought I would share my treasure of a
find during my anniversary (20 years of wedded bliss...to the same man!) trip
to Mexico. I came across the old glass and rubber bicycle horn breast pump
(for $2.00) and had to have one since I can't seem to find one in the states
to add to my collection of pumps for show & tell. While looking through the
pharmacies in Nuevo Laredo, I came across the world's worst shield, with 1/2"
thick glass for the base and a thick rubber teat that extends approx. 2-3
inches from the base. Horror of horrors...and the shelf was full of them!!
At least there is one less in that town for moms to be given!
