Perhaps I am misunderstanding something, but I thought that bone mass
recovered a year or so after birth - not necessarily after weaning?  Though
of course the two would coincide for a lot of women.  The return of
oestrogen would fit in with the return of menstruation, which even for
continuous nursing/pregnancy would be about the year mark, maybe slightly
later.  In fact, wouldn't a woman need the oestrogen back on line to
achieve ovualtion and pregnancy?  or am I missing something?
