I don't know if this will be "the" trick, but----------- I used to keep one
finger right in the corner of my baby's mouth, ready to break suction if I
sensed a clamping down. If/when it happened, baby was quickly taken off the
breast, told "no biting", and not allowed back on for at least 5 minutes. I
managed to protect myself *and* train them as to the fact that if they wanted
the breast, they COULD NOT BITE me. Took 1-2 weeks of training with each
child.
