I can relate my personal experiences as a fat woman, with large,
pendulous breasts. The cradle hold was difficult, but not impossible
for me. The football hold was much better, and side-lying was the
best. The rolled-up diaper under the breast was a godsend; it gave
me a free hand once I figured out how to use it to position my breast
so it didn't need to be held. Pillows! Lots of pillows of different
thicknesses to adjust the baby to the right position.

Once Hannah was 5 months old, and could grasp my breast herself,
nursing was easy as pie! That is something to look forward to if
this mom is having problems now. I'd just put Hannah in the sling,
and all I'd have to do is unhook my bra and slide my breast within
her reach, and we could nurse anywhere with no fuss.
