This is something I have noticed as well. I have found that in the early
days, no matter what I teach, the moms get very discouraged that they have
so little EBM. In addition, their high stress level hinders the learning
process. I often find them pumping with the pressure cranked up to the max.
I find them pulling the pump off their breast at high pressure and then
placing it right on the other breast (without turning it off). Do you
think this could have something to do with it -- i.e. damaging the nipples
right off the bat?
