Does anyone have info on compatibility of xylocaine(lidocaine) with
breastfeeding? Mom is going for carpal tunnel release surgery with this as
the anesthetic-using a tourniquet wrap, they remove the blood and fill the
arm veins w xylocaine held in the arm to perform the surgery, then release
the tourniquet or bp cuff which releases it into the system. The baby is 4
mos old. Info I have is minimal but states a very low amt is in milk of a
mother who had taken it for cardiac arrhythmia. Any concerns, precautions
necessary? I have had the surgery (not bf at the time) and experienced
headache for a while afterward, almost a lightheadedness-the nurse called it
a "buzz" good a term as any. Thanks!!
