Hello
I have been following the thread on how difficult it is for
the LC when people stop breastfeeding. How about when
someone you know well doesn't? I have found this to be
terribly difficult. I am such a Lactivist... Very very
open about my feelings, proud of myself and filled with
statistics about ABM, etc...
A friend recently chose to bottlefeed. I really had a hard
time with it. I felt like she did not take me seriously as a
n MCH epidemiologist. I mean, it is after all my life's work
to study infant related health, why wouldn't she listen to
me///
Do others feel this way, too? It has gotten easier as her
baby gets older but I used to shudder when she'd pull out
the old bottle. Also, my daughter (4) gave her daughter a
good talking to,and apparently the mother was hassled by her
6 year old about not doing what's best...
