        I don't think your strict. It seems that you have looked at your
life and found out what works for your whole family. You see the benefits
for your marriage and your children. I have experience both sides. I have a
6 year old boy and 4 year old girl. I have been single for 8 months
now.sharing sleep was never a problem when I was in a couple. The bed is
not the only place to enjoy special time with your partner and babies can
be moved in their sleep easily. They have shared sleep with me since birth
and I cherish it. It is a healthy wonderful experience. One year ago I
became a full time nursing student and they went into day care. Then life
needed a schedule versus what it was like when I was at home full time. So
bedtimes became routine and we do argue occasionally. They became routine
because that was what was needed in our life.I preferred sharing sleep when
I had a king size bed and now we play musical beds. But I still cherish our
time together.
        For me the focus of the discussion with mom's is ususally that
sharing sleep is a healthy choice and choosing to arrange sleeping quarters
the American way is a healthy choice.Choice is the key word. You really can
find logical arguements for either perspective. But often women aren't
looking for logic they want to know its okay to share sleep if thats what
works. Because the behavior is not openly discussed in the mainstream they
aren't sure.
I think it is said when women aren't able to trust their judgement.
