La Leche League Intnl. had the name of an MD, I believe in Texas, who had done
some research in this area.  The mother's pediatrician contacted this MD for
more information, and the mother did breastfeed her baby, with regular checks on
the baby's thyroid level to make sure that the mother's medications were not
depressing it out of the normal range.
