To Jane Long,  Maureen Minchin is the 'expert' on cabbage leaves. She cites
many times the reduction in swelling that the leaves give on all parts of
the body, with many types of injuries.  She also stated at seminars in
conversation that cabbage leaf qualities are well known in Asia:  I have
been fascinated to discover that these same qualities are known and
practiced on Pitcairn Island- the most isolated place on Earth.
