Thanks for the back-up on the breast cancer "risks" vs. protection issue.
I posted a similar reply before I had read yours in a digest after
Maureen's. We are not guaranteeing that you won't get lung cancer if you
don't smoke, right? In fact 15% of lung cancer cases are in nonsmokers!!
However, we still know from epidemiologic data that quitting smoking would
make the single biggest improvement in our nations health of any health
behavior.
