This is in reponse to Nicole Hester's 9/25 message about not having a
published resource about infant surgery &the length of time a mother can
breastfeed before induction. The new 1996 Pocket Guide to Breastfeeding
and Human Lactation by Kathy Auerbach and myself states that babies may
breastfeed up to 2 hours prior to induction of anesthesia (pp107). Two
support refs are given. Let me know if you'd like the refs.
