Greetings! My name is Anne Clark. I am an R.N., LLL Leader, Bradley
Childbirth Educator and recently an IBCLC. I sat the exam in Nottingham,
UK, after attending the London course: Breastfeeding: Practice and Policy,
in July 1995. We have recently returned from a three year tour in Italy
and my husband will soon retire from the military. We have four children,
ages 15, 12, 8, and 5. We moved to Bloomington, Indiana, my childhood
home, and home to Indiana University and also home of the most spectacular
autumns in the world (IMHO, as the acronym goes).

I have really enjoyed reading Lactnet for the last couple of months. I
consider it my daily continuing education. I copy and print information
that I want to reference in the future. I file each subject in a file
folder, then place it in ABC order in my lactation file cabinet. Then in
the future when a baby presents with "red brick dust" urine I will access
the "string" in my file and have all the facts and opinions of the seasoned
experts on hand. For this Lactnet service, I thank the owners of Lactnet
and all of you who so willingly donate your time and expertise to helping
families breastfeed their babies. It is my goal to give every mother the
opportunity to find peace through breastfeeding.

I am setting up a private lactation service. At present, I want to
provide home visits to new moms, and in the future to add on clinic visits
in an "office." I would appreciate hearing the "nuts and bolts" about how
some of you got your lactation services started and also ball-park figures
as to how much you charge for your services. Given the nature of the
questions and the possible length of answers, private email is probably the
best way to answer.

TIA. Looking forward to establishing my own private practice, being "Home
Again in Indiana," and a spectacular fall!

Anne M. Clark
