I think incentives do work---why else would all these formula companies spend
millions on freebies to manipulate moms to supplement formula feed and
exclusively formula feed? These companies don't pat mamas on the back--they
give out formula bags, "breast milk supply packs", toys and more!
IMHO--I think some kind of material token helps a great deal to reinforce
positive behaviors, eg breastfeeding.
