In the US, physical therapists take a totally seperate course of study,
either a 4 year bachelor's degree or a 2 year Master's.  They might take
gross anatomy with the medical students if the University has a medical
school, but the other classes are specific to physical therapy.  My baby
sister was Valedictorian (top) of her P.T. class last year...
