Hi all,
Little bit of news from the Chicago Tribune today (Sunday). It seems that
boys progress by bf more than girls... Acording to Flinders University
Medical Center's study of 96 healthy babies between ages of 10 & 14 months,
boys brfd for ayear scored on average 10% higher on mental and psycho-motor
development tests than those brfd for just one month. The study found that
girls' mental development was not affected by the length of bf. This is
linked to docosahexaenoic acid but they don't know why it affects gender.
Perhaps because girls start out ahead anyway?
Another reason to brfd those boys!
