It's a long shot...but ask the mom (or the hubby) about her sleeping
position. Maybe she's compressing the breast(s) somehow? Is she secretly
<g> wearing an underwire bra? Is she taking any kind of antihistimine, esp.
OTC? BCP? (Strange question, I know, but you never know.) Has she tried a
really good hospital-grade pump? (That made the difference for me; I was
one of those on-pitocin-forever moms whose milk seemed as though it would
never come in, then boom! It did and then my baby went on a nursing
strike!) Are her fluid intake and nutrition adequate, and is she getting
as much rest as she can?
Sorry if I went for the obvious, but you never know.
