Lisa-
Be careful with your pump trials. Those instruments sitting in alcohol in
the Dr's office are only there til they can be autoclaved (should be). Yes,
I know that boiling, etc kills HIV, hepatitis, and other nasties. Bleach
solution is used to clean things possibly contaminated with HIV. But the
liability issue is a concern. The kits are expressly (pun?) designed for
single mother use. Sharing them between mothers invites liability. Should a
mother or baby come down with anything....even if you know it's not from your
kit. Do they sign a waiver? Do you have your sterlization protocol written
out? Any "proof" thay the protocol is followed in every case? Talk to your
lawyer.
I can see why moms want to "try before they buy", but BE CAFEFUL
