Debbi:  Since Japan has a high rate of breastfeeding (I recall over 90%
not that long ago), I imagine any risk of breastfeeding while eating
sushi would have been well documented by now.  I strongly doubt that
there's any problem,
but perhaps asking a LLLI affiliate in Japan might settle the issue.
