I have a personal problem I wonder if anyone can help me with.  I have a
daughter, Carla, who is 10 months old and breastfed, of course.  she now
has 7 teeth and we have noticed that she has a marked overbite.  I had
lots of problems feeding her initially, this lasted for the first 4
weeks and it was a matter of I just couldn't get her to open her mouth
wide enough, I was very tempted to wean after many tears day after day,
but thankfully it all came together.  She began on solids at 7 1/2
months.  She wanted to eat before but couldn't, everytime we tried, she
could not open her mouth properly to take the spoon, despite being
hungry.  I bought some spoons with really small flat "heads" and they
immediately did the trick (at $4.00 each, mind you.).  She still cannot
eat with a normal spoon and sticks her tongue out to any other types.  I
am wanting to find out the long term consequences to her eating? Speech?
and dental future?  When do I do something about it?  Does an overbite
normally cause breastfeeding and eating problems.
