Re : Zantac and Ethanol interaction

As per your question as to whether Zantac(ranitidine) interacts with ethanol,
a large number of studies have reviewed this issue. Zantac inhibits gastric
alcohol dehyrogenase but thus far the increases in plasma ethanol have been so
minimal under normal conditions that it is considered a very minor drug
interaction without probable clinical effect.

Although it is not generally a good idea for people who use Zantac(those with
gastric ulcers, hyperacidity, etc) to use alcohol, there is no definite
contraindication for the use of Zantac and alcohol together.
