The LACTNET archives are now searchable by subject,
keyword, date, and author. To learn more about the searching function,
send to [log in to unmask] the command
INFO DATABASE
and then experiement with it. The search function is actually still in
testing right now, though it seems to be pretty stable, so our sysop is
interested in hearing your feedback. Instructions for where to send that
feedback is included in the information the INFO DATABASE command will send
you." One example of such a search would be:
SEARCH * IN LACTNET WHERE SENDER CONTAINS kbruce
This will give you all the hundreds of (boring) posts that I have ever posted.
If you put YOUR NAME in where mine is, as your name appears in your email
address, this will give you YOUR messages, at least a listing of them,..
I am not a wiz at this yet, but if you would like to experiment with it,
please do. IF YOU DO, your feedback would be appreciated.
