I got a call from a mother of a two month old baby. The mother has
suffered from colitis since her pregnancy was confirmed. But her MD
decided to wait with a lot of the testing etc, until after the baby was
born. Since the birth of the baby, her husbands health insurance has
changed, and she's had to change doctors.

On Thursday she is going for a colonoscopy. She will be taking the
following drugs on Wednesday: Dulcolax, Magnesium Citrate, Nulytely (4
liters) and Reglan.

On Thursday she will be getting a sedative of some kind. Does not know
yet what it will be. She also thinks she will have to take some drugs
after the procedure, and she thinks it might be steroids. She will let
me know tomorrow what the specifics are. I thought I would get this
out today, incase someone knows more about these drugs than I do. I
told her I would query my friends "out there." and get back to her as
soon as possible.

Her Question: She is planning to pump. Should she pump and dump, and
for how long?
