There have been several mentions of Professor Short on Lactnet recently. He
certainly is an asset to the breastfeeding cause, despite the fact that he
can make a lot of people uncomfortable by his strong, outspoken views. It
was mentioned that he is professor of physiology at Monash. (Note that in
Australia, as in the UK, this means head of department and not just a
lecturer). He has retired form this job and is now doing some work at the
Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne. The RWH is one of Australia's
accredited Baby Friendly Hospital.
