Pat says "I get to know these women well, working with them intimately for a
concentrated time, then when they give up on b'feeding when they seemed so
determined, I am stunned. I believe that Chloe, or Kathy, or Jan, or Chele,
or Maureen, or......could have brought the case to positive relolution. But
these mothers live in Milwaukee."
Pat, some people just want to give up bf for whatever reason..and if they
get your help, or my help, they can say "they tried."..and can quit in a
more socially acceptable manner. It is their respojnsibility [see my notes
in the past two days re: ranting and raving LC=me]. Women need to take the
power back, need to know they can do it, and then they need to do it.
The world does not yet have a McBirth, and a McBreastfeeding, but if some
women could have someone else do the birth and bf, and take the credit, and
pay for this, they would....Sigh. It isn't your fault. People who wanna do
it will. People who don't won't, and often will do whatever they can to
quit, because mothering in general, and bf in specific is just too damned
much work, and anyhow...their physicians and nurses often never advocate for
bf to begin with, so who gives a da*&m.
Peace. I know it is hard...but we must let go of the outcomes of these
situations. We give info. If people choose not to take it, that is their
energy leak, not ours.
