Well, then, EXCUSE ME (as I said).  The "debate" over Colonoware is not
just in my head.  You say that Colonoware in Virginia may have been made
by slaves--that the evidence is all very tenative and inconclusive--but
it was certainly made by Native Americans.  Wright's readily accessible
book merely presents some of the data which show that Native Americans
were among Virginia's slaves, that they were not--as your own response
seems to assume--wholly distinct and separate groups.  In all other
matters I defer to your extensive research on the topic.
