I saved this post from a while back:
<<R. Lawrence, 4th ed., p 483.  Spirochete MAY have already passed through
the
milk to the infant by the time Lyme is diagnosed.  Treat the infant if baby
develops rash or other symptoms.  Safe to breastfeed with treatment.>>
