Hi all,

Goat's milk is NOT similar to human milk. It is for baby goats, not baby
humans. I called the foremost goat milk dairy in the US (in CA) and got the
following table from them....

Adapted from "Composition of foods: Dairy & Egg Products," Agriculture
Research Service, Agriculture handbook no 8-1; Washington, DC, US Dept. of
Agriculture, 1976.

As it shows, actually cow & goat milk are very similar, and not at all like
human milk in composition, especially when looking at Ca, Ph, Mg, Iron, Na, &
K.

Hope this helps!

Jan Barger, who researched this after a client insisted on giving raw goat
milk to her baby rather than formula when she didn't have enough br milk.
After showing her this table, the mom decided that formula was a better
choice. Whew!
