Have you tried writing to the company to request the formula on a compassion basis? I have some patients that don't have third party payment for medications and some of the pharmacuetical companies will send the medicine at a free or reduced cost to patients that need it: IF 1) the treating physician writes a letter on their behalf,,, and 2) sometimes they have to fill out an application and reveal information about their financial status.
Perhaps worth a try.
