Cindy,

So glad the baby is gaining well now - 1 oz a day, that is perfect!
However, In a message dated 96-07-26 00:09:07 EDT, you write:
<< Mom is very apprehensive about everything, never want baby to cry for a
minutes, cant even feel comfortable taking a shower or a short walk without
baby. We are working on those feelings and she is going to LaLeche
 meeting next week. >>

I think these feelings are natural and good and shouldn't be discouraged. I
still feel this way with my 22 mo old who wakes frequently and I was the same
with my 1st child. Still can't bear to be away from them. Some people fault
me for this, I don't use babysitters, that sort of thing. I recommend she
put baby in bathroom with her, in sling for walks, or use a baby monitor with
those red lights that she can see that indicate noise, even if the shower is
running or the hair dryer. Just .02 here.
