Hello - new (again!) to Lactnet. I'm Susie Flaschen, from Phila area.
Have been a nursing mothers counselor many years, now newly certified.
Glad to be joining all of you...
Now my query: One of our counselors is nursing her 14-month-old
twice a day. Has sudden severe neck pain. Has been prescribed
cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril), a muscle relaxant, and nabumetone
(Relafen), an anti-inflammatory. Has received no reliable info re
compatibility w/ bf from either physician or pharmacist. I do not have
Hales' book, only old Briggs. She's not comfortable with idea of
nursing at all, until she gets some info, and is really in bad pain,
so wants these meds or something for relief. She no longer has
her pump. Any info/ideas out there?
TIA so much, Susan Flaschen IBCLC
