In response to my post about my sister with bipolar disorder, Lisa Marasco

I was remiss in not saying that my sister with bipolar disorder was
breastfed for 2 years. So in her case, no. And she led a relatively
stress-free life through her early 20s (middle class, great parents, no
crises). In many other instances, probably... There was a study in 1995,
published in American Journal of Clinical Nutrition (first author Burgess)
about a possible link between ADHD symptamology and breastfeeding (shorter
duration of breastfeeding in group with worst symptoms).
