Just had to write and share this with you
Our local newspaper contacted me about doing a feature story about my
private Lactation Consultation business. I wanted to share with you just a
few quotes from the article which ran in today's Sunday paper with nice big
colored photographs of me with a client.
"This is the headquarters of B.A.B.Y.--Breastfeeding Assistance for Baby &
You. It's six miles and a world of difference away from Bristol-Myers
Squibb, an Evansville giant in the infant formula field.
'What I'm doing is not going to put them out of business. there's
always going to be a need ro formula,' said Mrs. Straeter. 'You're never
going to get 100 percent of women breastfeeding.'
That doesn't mean Mrs. Straeter, ca ertified lactation consultant
and mother of two, wouldn't like to see every mom give it a try.
'I don't think there's any debate on the benefits (superiority) of
breastfeeding. Even on the side of a can of formula it will say 'Mother's
milk is best for the baby.'"
Rose Marie Straeter,
IBCLC
