I am way behind in the journals, but wanted to let Pam know that I have been
excused from jury duty since my first child was born because it would mean
finding childcare for before and after school for my children, the youngest
of whom is 10.  In CT, if your major responsibility is the care of your
children under 15 or 16 (not sure which), you can be excused to a later date.
