Well, I have no written proof, but my best friend's totally breastfed
baby weighed 20 pounds at 4 months, 24 pounds at 6 months, was still
pretty big at a year and even a little chunky at 2 years, but at 4 years
old, he is absolutely perfect!!!!! I have pictures of him if you think
that might help! OR my best advice is to tell the mom to IGNORE the
pedi, and do what she knows is RIGHT!! I would be glad to send HER the
pictures if you think it would help. Also, my friend's doctor told her
the baby would probably be developmentally delayed for large motor
skills. This baby was WALKING at 10 months. Hardly a delay... (though he
did look like the Sta-Puff Marshmallow man ;) ) Hope you get the info
you need. My daughter is on the other end of the scale-- she is 19 months
and only 20 pounds! Good luck, and keep us all posted!
