Have a question. A nursing mom is to use a teeth whitener system called (?)
Colgate Platinum Professional Tooth Whitener System. Dentist said ok while
nursing, pediatrician said not. Wanted my professional opinion. So I'm
asking yours. It contains (I hope I get these right):
Calcium pyrophosphate, polo-xamere #407, carbamide peroxide 10%, peg-12,
glycerine, dicalcium phosphate dihydrate, perg-gm (?), sodium acid
pyrophosphate, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium saccharin, sodium dihydrate ETDA.
She is to fill a mold with this stuff and soak her teeth 30 min to 1 hour
each day for 2-3 weeks. She will not be swallowing, even said that she will
spit, dab at drool from sides of mouth or whatever so as not to contaminate
milk. Any of you dental people out there? Was pediatrician just being
conservative? TIA for your help.
