Dear Everyone,
It's Sunday morning, May 26th. Please respond ASAP if you have info!
Have client who after much hard work and dedication, has requested
a nipple shield to effect latch-on. Mom at end of her rope. Have
typed personalized nipple shield consent form for the parents. Want to
get them weaning from it, ASAP. What's this I hear about edges being
sharp if you cut off tip? Is this true? My consent form reads to cut off
tip, but I don't want to have them do this if dangerous! How else would
one wean from the shield, unless one effects latch with it in place,
then quickly removes it??? Is that all one could do if cutting is
dangerous? I have no rubber shields. Please respond soon, parents want
to come over today to pick up...
Thanks in advance,
Wendy
