It is my understanding that the above device has not been approved by the
US FDA. Therefore, as an LC, I feel I would be sticking my neck out (and
thus in danger of being chopped off legally!) if I were to recommend use of
the device in the USA.  This restriction (real or imagined) may not apply
in other countries (the article appeared in a British journal and I
understand the device was developed there).

Another thing: what is written up by the developer may not be entirely free
of (potential) bias.  I would want to see a controlled study done by an
independent investigator before asking my clients to use something like
this.

Just one person's opinion...
