In response to removing formula from hospital gift packs prior to giving
them to the new mother:

I wish that we could be allowed to do this, but unfortunately, these ABM
companies supply these "gift packs" free to the hospitals as well as supply
free ABM to the hospitals to feed the babies while they are in the nursery!
So for a lot of hospitals, It comes down to economics... the hospital wont
give up the gift packs because they receive all of this free ABM. And,
removing of the ABM by the hospital staff isin violation of the poilcy to
allow the hospital to receive this free ABM.

The way I get around this is that while teaching my BF classes I tell the
students that they will be receiving these packs with ABM and that they may
give it back to the nurse if they dont wnat it, and beleive it or not, quite
a few moms choose to do this!
