Hi all,
About IQs: As usual, Diane Wiessinger said it best. And yes, it does push
buttons. I think people who were not breastfed feel a little intimidated
when you bring up the subject. Many take it personal and think you are
accusing them of not being very bright. In my case, I only wish I had been
nursed longer than 6 months! It gets scary when you realize your own
children are smarter than you. (Especially when it comes to figuring out a
computer.) And as for the geniuses who were formula-fed, we must not forget
that genetics play a big part also.
Mary Broadfoot: Your published response to the article about dioxins was
great. Everyone here should write letters to the editor when breastfeeding
issues like this come up - whether positive or negative...
