Hi, Jude. The only thing re biting that I might add is watch the baby
(possibly why she is getting bitten at night when she is tired). I have
found that biting generally occurs either when the baby is not serious
about nursing (often at the end of feeds), or sometimes seems to occur
reflexively in some babies who bite down as they are falling asleep. In
either case, paying attention to the baby's state while nursing may
enable mom to avoid the behaviour.
