I was very surprised to see sugar water anyplace in your list of
options.  If the baby is not nursing at the breast it is imperative that
it be fed adequately.  Otherwise we are adding a new problem.  My first
choice of supplement is of course expressed breast milk followed by the
type of ABM prescribed by the physician.  Cup feeding is also an option
while working at latch on.  BTW- how much labor & delivery medication,
and what kind, did this mother have?
