A few months ago I posted about a mother in my LLL Group who had been
diagnosed with ringworm on her breasts. She was being treated by a
homeopath (who is also an MD) and he prescribed Lotrimin.
I just heard from my co-Leader that she talked to this mother and she is
very frustrated. She still has the ringworm and it's getting worse. She
is also very concerned about the effects of the Lotrimin on her nursing
baby (12 months old) and has stopped using it. The ringworm seems to be
spreading up into her armpit now. This mother did say that she has
horrible problems with yeast, such as awful vaginal yeast infections. My
co-Leader thought it might be helpful if the mother started using the
Lotrimin again but pumped on the one side where the ringworm is bad until
it's cleared up. Does anyone have any better suggestions? This is really
impacting this mother's nursing relationship.
TIA,
Kim
