cipro: ciproflozacin.... page 180 of briggs .. fourth edition. not
recommended during lactation...

corticosteroids .. small amounts secreted into bm. follwoinga 10 mg oral
dose of prednisone 2 hr milk levels for prednisolone and prednisone were 1.6
ug/L and 26.7 ugl respectively. doses of 80 mg/day in mothers produce
insignificant absorbtion in infant (<0.1of dose) probably not clinically
significant. in small doses, steroids are not contrindicated in nursing
mothers. whenever possible use low-dose alternatives such as aerosols or
inhalers. following administration, wait at elat 4 hrs. if possibble prior to
feeding infant to reduce exposure. do not apply topically to nipplws due to
absorption by infant...p94 t. hale

unasyn... ampicillian + sulbactam. small anouts of ampicillan mayh
transfer (1mg/L). possible rash. sensitization, diarrhea or candidiasis could
occur, but unlikely. may alter gi flora. there are no reports of sulbactam
secretion into human milk., but it is probably low and largely without side
effect. t. hale p./ 347
