Have you investigated how the mother is nursing this baby? I'll bet she isn't
sticking to one side per feed, and that is where I would start. Too much
foremilk, as has been discussed much of late, can lead to lactose overload or
"foremilk-hindmilk imbalance", with high weight gain, lots of colic, and
possible green or blood flecked stools. Since mom has a copious supply, you
might recommend that she keep baby to one side for 2-3 hrs before switching
and see what happens. I'll bet this is the problem, and not allergies! (If
I'm wrong, write back!) Good luck.
