I do not remember who inquired but here it is:
In "Recommendations for nuclear medicine physicians regarding breastfeeding
mothers" by Harding, Bossuyt, Pellet, Reiners and Talbot published in Eur J
Nucl Med (1995) 22: BP17, vol.22, no.5, May 1995. It says:
For 99m TcO4, 123 I-iodide, 131 I-OHI:
"Interruption for at least 24 h, with measurements of excretion in the milk
to ensure an EDE to the infant of less than 1 mSv"
For 131 I-iodode, 201 TI chloride, 67 Ga citrate, 75 Se-methionine, 125
I-fibrinogen:
"Breastfeeding contraindicated"
In "The Transfer of Drugs and Other Chemicals Into Human Milk" from the AAP
committee on Drugs, PEDIATRICS Vol.93, no.1 January 1994. It says:
For Tecnetium-99m (99mTC): "Radioactivity in milk present 15h to 3 days."
For Iodine 131 (131I): "Radioactivity in milk present 2-14 days, depending
on study"
Hope this helps!
