Hi all-- I'm a month behind in my mail as I'm busily getting started with the
rest of my life, abut I have a question from an LC friend of mine, Ellen
Penchuk, who was my LLL leader when my 15 yr old was a baby, and has been
IBCLC for 10 yrs--

Anyway, she has a mom of a 6 week old who is about to go back to her job as a
mortician, and wonders about the fumes of the embalming fluid (mostly
formaldehyde), whether it could affect her milk as far as pumping goes.
 Anybody know? Dr. Hale?

Thanks for any input,

Tina Smillie,
who's finally seeing moms and babies in her specialty practice of
"breastfeeding medicine" for real this month. (Peds & IBCLC)
