It seems in this 'modern' age of BreastFeeding that the moms I see WANT a
pump. For some reason they feel more secure with one. I'm not sure why. I
have theroized that its like going to a Dr. and feeling the need to leave
with something in their hand. (Makes 'em feel they got their monies worth?!)
Although I nursed 3 children, (now 9-11-13) never used a bottle, these moms
ARE using bottles, leaving their babies, letting dad feed, etc. I try to
recommend alternatives, talk about attatchment parenting, share my mothering
style etc., some women are just not going for it. For those women, I am
happy they are breastfeeding, their way. I figure the next time might be
diff. or they may gradually evolve into a more "attatchment" style.
Breastfeeding is soooooooo diff. than it was when I was doing it! I guess I
have learned to be Non-judgmental without compromising myself. Everyone has
choices to make. I help to clarify them. { Looks like its gonna be a
beautiful spring day here in MI!! WELL! its about time!! ]
