Hi all. As I was reading the post with all the archived responses to topical
nipple nostrums, I was struck by Pardee's old post about a connection between
tea bags applied to nipples and candidiasis. I saw a woman sev. days ago who
had typical nipple yeast symptoms: very discolored, pink nipples (no
positional lesions -- skin mostly intact but inflamed) sore even when not
nursing, can't tolerate touch of clothes, shower, etc. She's never had a
vaginal yeast infection, and there are no symptoms in baby at all. The most
remarkable thing about her recent hx is the immed. pp use of tea bags on
nipples to 'prevent soreness.'
