Just had to share this with you guys.  I gave a test to my "Peoples and
Cultures of the World" class last week and one of the questions was:
"According to Ishmael, what is "Mother Culture"?  [Ishmael was one of the
textbooks].  Among the wrong answers was e) a rock back from Austin (hey,
great name, at least as good as "Eddie Bauer and the Breastpumps" [inside
joke].  I had several students ask me what the inside joke was all about,
and I got to tell them!
